Created by Milan-based firm Deep Design, this sleek, compact machine blends the distinctive retro style of the brand with modern technology. This machine handles all stages of making coffee, from grinding beans to making a puck, then texturing milk to dispensing the right volume.
The machine is also available in black, red and taupe. It will easily fit into any kitchen design. There are some flaws, however: most reviewers found it a little expensive for a bean to cup maker (and it's not equipped with a milk pitcher).
However, there were numerous positive reviews of the quality of the coffee and the ease of using this machine. The digital display is intuitive and provides step-by-step guidance and feedback throughout the coffee making process, helping you improve your coffee every time. It even allows you to tweak the grind size if it's not exactly right. It's almost like having a personal barista in your own home (minus Harry Potter's invisibility cloak and Elon Musk's rocket-building skills).
This model is ideal for those who enjoy milky drinks. The steam wand is adjustable to the right and left to fit most drinking vessels, excluding Viking drinking horns. We were also impressed by the speed and efficiency at the way that the frothing was performed. It also produces an excellent espresso, with a great crema and full flavour despite its compact size.
Coffeee UK is an excellent all-rounder. It's quiet and efficient, and it offers great value for money at the current price of PS499. Its only real drawback is the fact that it does not offer the same level of customization like some of the other bean to cups we've tried. 2. Melitta Barista TS Smart
The Barista TS Smart is a superb bean-to-cup machine with numerous features that make it stand out from the competition. Its most unique feature is probably the fact that it is controlled from your smartphone through the Melitta Connect app. This allows you to change settings and dispensing different coffee recipes that are stored in the machine itself.
This makes the machine super flexible and adaptable to your preferences. There are plenty of options for changing the intensity of your drinks and also different sizes of cups, and whether or not you wish to add milk. The machine has two airtight containers of beans that are automatically chosen to suit different specialities. It defaults to standard espresso beans in one, and cafe crem (a German variation of long black or flat white) in the other however, you are able to select the beans you prefer. There's also a convenient chute for pre-ground coffee if you want to make your own (for instance, if that pesky dinner guest brings their own).
Users have also been impressed by the speed of the machine. It is faster than any other machine they've used. Another bonus is that it will alert you when one of its hoppers is about to be empty, ensuring that you do not get caught running out of your favorite drink.
The only thing that could be a problem for some individuals is the price. This machine is priced at PS999. However, it is far cheaper than similar Jura machines that have similar features.
